The Tower Bridge at night
Opened in 1894, this was one of the last major Victorian buildings, half suspension bridge and half drawbridge. Since the closing of most of the London docks the bridge is opened so rarely today that the steam system is no longer economic and electric power has been substituted. The Corporation of London has provided facilities within the towers permitting visitors to view the Thames from the upper level walkway to see the original Victorian steam engines.
The picture is taken from the Tower Millennium Pier when I got locked later on.
